Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Shiny Go Clean! By booking a service with us, you're agreeing to the terms and conditions below. We're here to make this process smooth and easy—if you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Booking, Confirmation, and Appointment Details

  • Service Request: When you request our services, you're agreeing to these terms and conditions. We’ll confirm your booking by email or phone once your appointment is finalized.

  • Appointment Arrival Window: We aim to arrive on time, but sometimes traffic or unexpected delays happen. Our arrival window is within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time. If we're running behind, we'll notify you as soon as possible.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if we encounter:

  • Safety concerns

  • Excessive clutter or unsanitary conditions

  • Inaccessible utilities (electricity, running water)

  • Dangerous items (weapons, live wires)

If our cleaners feel unsafe or cannot work due to these issues, a cancellation fee will apply.

Safety and Service Limitations

To keep everyone safe, our cleaners:

  • Do not handle mold removal or areas with bodily fluids.

  • Cannot lift items heavier than 35 pounds. Please move heavy furniture before the appointment if you'd like us to clean behind or under it.

  • Do not climb higher than a step stool or work outside the home.

  • Do not provide hoarding cleanup services.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  • 24-Hour Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a fee.

  • Cancellation Fees: A $50 fee will be charged for cancellations made within 24 hours. If we cannot access the property at the scheduled time, or if our cleaners are turned away, a lockout fee of $100 will apply.

Disclaimer, Payment and Pricing

  • Disclaimer: Our booking system is powered by Booking Koala. By using this service, you agree to both Shiny Go Clean’s Terms and Booking Koala’s Terms of Service. We do not assume responsibility for any technical issues caused by their platform. Shiny Go Clean is not responsible for any issues or breaches that arise from using the Booking Koala platform. Customers are encouraged to review their terms for full understanding.

  • Payment Methods: Payment is made after the cleaning service is completed. We accept credit card payments only.

  • Service Fees: While we give instant price estimates, we may adjust the final price based on the actual condition of the home. If we cannot reach you to discuss these adjustments, the appointment may need to be rescheduled, and the cancellation fee will apply.

Refunds and Satisfaction Guarantee

We take pride in our work! If something isn’t up to your expectations, please let us know within 24 hours of your cleaning. We'll happily return to correct any issues at no extra charge. While we do not offer refunds, we’re committed to ensuring you're satisfied.

Enjoy a FREE Deep Clean when you book 5 recurring cleanings with us! It’s our way of saying thank you for being a loyal customer.

Breakage/Damage & Loss Policy

Although it's rare, accidents can happen. Our cleaners are bonded and insured with a $2M policy. If something breaks or is damaged, please notify us within 24 hours, and we’ll work with you to resolve the issue.

We are not responsible for damage to fragile, valuable, or irreplaceable items such as cash, jewelry, art, or antiques that aren't secured or disclosed to us beforehand.

Client Responsibilities

  • Access: Please ensure our cleaners have access to your home at the scheduled time. If you use a security system, let us know how to disarm it, or provide a code.

  • Home Preparation: We ask that you tidy up clutter, such as toys or dishes, so our cleaners can focus on cleaning. If you need help with these tasks, let us know in advance for a fee adjustment.

Pets

We love pets, but for their safety and ours, please ensure they are well-behaved during the cleaning. If our cleaners feel threatened or unsafe, they may leave, and a cancellation fee will apply.

Supplies

We provide all the necessary cleaning equipment and supplies. If you prefer we use your own products, let us know ahead of time. However, we cannot be held liable for any issues caused by client-provided products.

Holidays

We observe the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day

  • Canada Day

  • Labour Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

If your appointment falls on a holiday, we’ll reach out to reschedule.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. By booking our services, you agree to abide by these terms.
